Shamin brings diverse experience across family, immigration, and estate law, shaped by her background growing up in Montreal and subsequently living in Toronto before settling in Calgary. Her multicultural upbringing and exposure to diverse communities have instilled in her a deep sense of empathy and cultural awareness qualities that guide her client-centered approach.

Shamin has appeared before both the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Court of King’s Bench, gaining hands-on courtroom and advocacy experience in family law matters. Her legal work also includes preparing immigration and estate planning files, drafting legal documents, and guiding clients through complex processes with clarity, care, and precision.

Beyond her practice, Shamin is committed to service and professional growth. She coordinated the Akfiit Team Food Drive, leading volunteer efforts to support local families in need. She is an active member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers (CARL), and the Association of Women Lawyers (AWL) in Calgary, where she networks, learns and supports the advancement of women in the legal profession.

She is fluent in English, Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi, with working proficiency in French, Shamin brings strong cross-cultural communication skills to her work. Outside of law, she enjoys travelling, reading and spending time with her young family.
